Compliant with Indian standards
What is a Precast RCC Earth Pit Chamber?
Precast conical manhole supplier in NCR
IS 3043:2018 Compliant
Designed to meet the inspection and access requirements of India's governing earthing standard.
Heavy-Duty Cover as Standard
Supplied with a precast RCC cover with rebar lifting handles and central access opening. Smooth finish.
Multiple Sizes
Standard sizes cover most project requirements. Custom dimensions manufactured to drawing.
Solar Project Ready
Multiple-plant production capacity across Northern India handles large-volume, phased-delivery solar project supply.
Consistent Across Large Orders
Steel-mould manufacturing delivers identical internal dimensions, wall thickness, and cover seating across every unit.
Structurally Load-Rated
Manufactured to M30 minimum concrete grade with 6mm MS wire or 8mm TMT bar reinforcement.
Solar & Renewable Energy
Ground-mounted solar PV plants require IS 3043-compliant earthing pit chambers at every inverter station, combiner box, and transformer pad on a 100MW plant; that can mean several hundred chambers across the site. BRHCInfra's production capacity and Northern India logistics reach make large-volume, phased-delivery solar supply straightforward.
Power & Telecom Infrastructure
Electrical substations, transmission structures, distribution transformer pads, and telecom tower sites all require accessible earthing enclosures at each grounding point, mandated under IS 3043:2018. With India's 5G rollout generating new tower sites and data centre capacity projected to reach 9GW by 2030, this is one of the fastest-growing procurement categories for earthing infrastructure across Northern India.
Industrial & Institutional Facilities
Factories, hospitals, airports, and large commercial buildings require earthing chambers at LT panels, HT switchgear, UPS systems, and generator sets throughout the facility. A large industrial campus typically requires dozens of units; production consistency and bulk supply capability matter as much as unit specification.

Installation Guide
- Pit Excavation & Electrode Installation
- Chamber Placement & Conductor Termination
- Cover Seating, Surface Reinstatement & Testing
The earthing pit is excavated to the depth and diameter specified in the IS 3043 earthing design. The electrode, GI pipe, MS rod, or plate as per design, is installed with the specified backfill medium (charcoal, salt, bentonite, or proprietary earthing compound). The top of the electrode or bonding conductor is brought to the level at which the chamber will sit.
The RCC chamber body is placed over the electrode pit and seated level at the correct finished depth. The earthing conductor or bonding strip is passed through the chamber wall or brought up through the open base and terminated at the electrode head. The chamber walls protect the connection point and provide the enclosed, accessible enclosure for inspection and periodic resistance testing.
The heavy-duty cover is seated flush with the finished ground surface. The surrounding area is reinstated. Earth resistance is tested using the fall-of-potential method per IS 3043:2018 through the cover access opening, no excavation required. The same access point is used for all scheduled annual or biannual maintenance testing over the life of the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What standard sizes are available?
Three standard inner sizes: 250×250mm, 300×300mm, and 350×350mm, all supplied with fitted RCC covers. Depths range from 300mm to 375mm with wall thicknesses of 70mm to 100mm depending on the size. For larger earthing systems such as solar plant transformer pads or substation grids, custom dimensions are available against project drawings.
Does the chamber come with a cover?
Yes. Every unit is supplied complete with a precast RCC cover with central access opening and cast-in rebar lifting handles. Cover thickness is 50mm or 70mm depending on the unit. Smooth internal and external finish as standard. No separate procurement required.
Which Indian standard governs earthing pit chamber design?
IS 3043:2018 Code of Practice for Earthing (Second Revision) is the governing Indian standard. It mandates that earth connections be accessible for inspection and periodic resistance testing. BRHCInfra's chamber cover design, with its central access opening, satisfies this requirement. All chambers are manufactured to M30 minimum concrete grade with appropriate reinforcement.
How often does an earthing system need to be tested?
IS 3043:2018 recommends annual testing for critical installations such as substations and solar plants, and testing once every three years for general industrial applications. Testing is done using the fall-of-potential method through the cover access opening; no excavation or cover removal is required for standard resistance measurements.
Can these be used for solar plant earthing systems?
Yes, this is a primary application. Ground-mounted solar plants require IS 3043-compliant earthing pit chambers at inverter stations, transformer pads, array earthing points, and combiner boxes. BRHCInfra supplies to solar and power infrastructure projects across Northern India and can handle large-volume orders with phased delivery matched to your installation schedule.
Are custom sizes available?
Yes. If your project's earthing design specifies a non-standard internal dimension or depth, we manufacture against project drawings. Share your specification and our team will confirm wall thickness, reinforcement, and cover design.
What areas do you supply to?
We manufacture from multiple plants in Delhi NCR and supply across Northern India, including Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
