What is an RCC Ring?
Precast RCC ring supplier in NCR
An RCC ring, or a precast harvesting ring, is a circular, perforated or open-jointed structural ring with male and female grooves on the top and bottom, used to construct vertical subsurface recharge wells that allow collected rainwater to percolate back into the groundwater table. Rings are stacked vertically to the required depth and packed with mortar or sealant, filtered gravels fitted inside to trap sediment before water enters the soil.
Groundwater Recharge
Purpose-designed for maximum percolation. Recharge rates vary from 1,000 litres per hour to as high as 6,000 litres per hour.
Faster Construction
Precast rings are placed and stacked in hours, not days. No curing wait, no brick-by-brick build.
Versatile & Consistent
Steel-mould manufactured to uniform internal diameter & wall thickness. Various sizes to suit different structural needs.
Regulatory Compliance Ready
Designed to support compliance with rainwater harvesting mandates under Indian building regulations and municipal bylaws.
Sustainability Credential
Functioning recharge well directly offers measurable environmental performance for green building and ESG reporting.
Long Service Life
Structurally stable underground. Serves for decades with no structural intervention.
Urban, Industrial & Institutional Campuses
Residential townships, commercial developments, factories, SEZs, and institutions require rainwater harvesting systems for building approvals and green building certifications.
Industrial & Logistics Infrastructure
Factories, warehouses, SEZs, fuel stations, and logistics parks require earthing pits, industrial sumps, chemical containment pits, and statutory rainwater recharge systems.
Power & Electrical Infrastructure
Substations, highway lighting networks, solar farms, and large electrical installations require concrete rings to form the structural enclosure for earthing and grounding systems.
Installation Guide
Excavate to the required diameter and depth per the site's hydro-geological conditions and design specification. The pit base is prepared with a gravel filter bed to receive the first ring and initiate percolation.
Rings are lowered into the excavation sequentially using a crane or mechanical handler and stacked flush-seated to the required depth. The joints are packed with mortar basically with micro-concrete or any high-configuration sealants.
The well is capped with a precast cover slab or cast-in-situ manhole cover. The surface inlet, typically connected to a roof drainage or stormwater collection system, is fitted with a silt trap or filter chamber before the recharge well to prevent fine sediment ingress.

Frequently Asked Questions
How deep does a recharge well typically need to be?
Typically, as per structural designers, 5m or 6m deep recharge well pits are recommended at urban construction sites. It also depends on local soil permeability, the volume of runoff to be managed, and the depth of the water table. A civil engineer or hydrogeologist should determine the required depth for your site. We can supply rings in whatever quantity and configuration your design specifies.
Are your rings perforated or solid-walled?
We supply both perforated rings (with circular openings in the wall) and solid-walled rings with open joints between stacked sections. The appropriate type depends on your soil conditions and recharge design; our team can advise.
Is a rainwater harvesting system mandatory for new construction in India?
Yes, in most states and urban local bodies, rainwater harvesting is a condition of building plan approval and occupancy certification for new construction above a specified plot or built-up area. Requirements vary by state and municipality.
Can these rings be used for open wells or borewells?
Harvesting Rings are designed specifically for recharge pit applications. For lining of open wells or water storage structures, different precast ring specifications apply. Contact our team to discuss the right product for your application.
